I’ve decided to use my new idea for my final project… it’s about conformity and how i just wanna be me, rather than what everyone else thinks i should be. I am using this piece because it’s somewhat out of the ordinary for me. It’s more experimental and i never would’ve thought to do something like this a month ago. I figured since this class has taught me to branch out with my writing, why play it safe with a topic that is oh-so-typical of me? Time to try more new things!

Are you going to use any bits from your first piece or are you going to start all over again? I think that some of the material in your first draft could definitely be used for this new topic.

Allie, I’m very much looking forward to seeing what you come up with here–it takes courage to move beyond our comfort zones but it is only by doing so that we can learn. Brava! (And let me know if you need any feedback from me).

And, Jessica, I changed a lotttt of it. haha. I tried to use the advice you guys gave me… but the big thing that changed was making the pictures not so literal. I also changed pretty much all the text from the second half, so i hope it’s better than it was last night! Thanks again for meeting! That was so helpful!
